Bedroom Video Goes Viral: Rape Case Against Former BJP Leader In Pune
Pune, 18th July 2022: A case of rape has been registered against Shrikant Appasaheb Deshmukh, former district president of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Solapur rural. Recently, a woman shared a video from their bedroom on social media which went viral. After that, Srikanth immediately resigned from the post of district president.
A 37-year-old woman victim has filed a complaint in Deccan police station in this regard. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Shrikant Deshmukh under Sections 376, 377, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. This incident took place between December 2021 and 2022.
According to the information given by the police, the complainant is from Pune. Srikanth introduced himself to her and said that he had some issues with his wife and had been separated for three years. Also, he faked that he was divorcing his wife. After that, he repeatedly had physical relations under pretext of marriage.
Reportedly, he also threatened her saying that the victim will be responsible for whatever happened to her and her mother if she tries to complain about him. He has taken her to Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, and Sangli and raped her. Further investigation is being conducted by the Deccan Police.
