Beware Of Thieves While Visiting Ganesh Pandals In Pune, Two Cases Of Theft Registered

Pune 25th Sept 2023: The Pune City Police officials have already appealed to the devotees to take care of their belongings while visiting ganesh pandals in the crowded places. However, several incidents of theft are still reported from a few areas of the city. The city police received two such complaints on Sunday.

According to police, a woman from Aundh has lost her pendant worth Rs 15,000 to a thief while visiting the pandal of Guruju Talim Ganedh Mandal on Sunday at around 6:15 pm. The Vishrambaug police have booked an unidentified person in the matter under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

In another case, a woman from Kolhapur has lodged a complaint with Faraskhana Police Station regarding a a mobile theft. According to the complaint, the woman’s mobile phone worth Rs 1,30,000 was stolen at around 12:50 am while visiting the pandal of Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati. The Faraskhana police have booked unidentified person. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
