Bigg Boss Fame Abhijit Bichukale Gets Only 47 Votes in Kasba Peth By-Election

Kasba Peth, 2nd March 2023: Ravindra Dhangekar of Congress has emerged as the winner of the by-election held in the Kasba Peth constituency after the demise of MLA Mukta Tilak. Dhangekar defeated BJP candidate Hemant Rasane in a direct contest between the two parties.
Notably, Abhijit Bichukale, known for his stint in reality show Bigg Boss, also contested as an independent candidate and secured only 47 votes. Another independent candidate Anand Dave received 296 votes while 1,397 voters chose the NOTA (None Of The Above) option.
The by-election was keenly watched by political observers as the Kasba Peth constituency has been a traditional stronghold of the BJP. However, the Congress candidate’s victory has come as a surprise and is being seen as a setback for the ruling party.
