Pune, 17th November 2024: Rajesh Pande, Vice President of the Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), addressed a press conference in Pune to discuss the progress of the Mahayuti alliance’s campaign for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections. Prominent BJP leaders, including Sandeep Khardekar, Amol Kavitkar, Pushkar Tuljapurkar, Hemant Lele, and Prashant Kotwal, were also present.

Pande highlighted the BJP’s success in the recent Lok Sabha elections, attributing it to effective voter engagement and the party’s ability to counter opposition narratives. “We are moving forward based on the work done for the people,” he said, downplaying any concerns about internal conflicts within the opposition. He also praised the BJP’s grassroots network, emphasizing that as a worker-centric party, it could connect with voters efficiently, with booth chiefs and panna chiefs already mobilized.

Providing insights into the party’s strategy, Pande revealed that the BJP is contesting 26 of the 59 constituencies in Western Maharashtra, with its campaign covering 8,000 of the 20,000 booths in the region. He expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in key districts such as Solapur, Satara, Sangli, and Pune, citing a favorable political environment and strong public support for the Mahayuti alliance’s policies.

Pande also noted the involvement of senior party leaders, including Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, and officials from various states, in strengthening the campaign. On the final day of campaigning, the party organized rallies and worker gatherings in each constituency rather than large public meetings. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with booth workers was a key highlight, which Pande believes will energize the party’s base and positively influence voter turnout.

He concluded with confidence, predicting that the Mahayuti alliance would achieve the highest strike rate in Western Maharashtra and that the results would reflect increased voter participation driven by the alliance’s robust outreach efforts.
