Shivajinagar, 17th November 2024: As the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections enter their final stage, independent candidate Manish Anand, backed by the Maharashtra Swaraj Party (MSP), is intensifying his campaign in Pune’s Shivajinagar constituency. Through physical meetings and foot rallies, Anand is working to connect with voters, drawing an enthusiastic response from citizens.

Anand launched his latest foot rally today from Niljyoti Society in Gokhale Nagar, concluding it at Ramoshiwadi. During his interactions with residents, he criticized the BJP’s decade-long tenure in the constituency, accusing the party of neglecting key civic issues. Anand highlighted recurring problems such as traffic congestion, pothole-ridden roads, inadequate water supply, garbage mismanagement, rising crime rates, and escalating pollution. He described these challenges as evidence of stagnation in Shivajinagar and underscored the urgent need for change.

Focusing on the issue of water scarcity, Anand pointed out that despite the existence of a large water tank in the Chatushringi area, many neighborhoods receive water for only three to four hours a day, with some areas dependent on tankers. He pledged to resolve this crisis by ensuring a 24-hour water supply to every household. Anand also vowed to implement comprehensive reforms to improve the constituency’s infrastructure and quality of life.
