BJP’s Muralidhar Mohol Vows to Tackle Unemployment by Empowering MSMEs and Startups in Pune

Pune, 8th May 2024: Muralidhar Mohol, the candidate of the BJP from Mahayuti in the Pune Lok Sabha constituency, pledged to address the issue of unemployment by fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and startups in the city.

Campaigning for Mohol was conducted in various areas including Mahatma Phule Mandai, Gadikhana, Khadakmal Ali, Kasture Chowk, Krishnahatti Chowk, Lohianagar, and the Mithganj Police Chowky area.

Mohol stated, “Our goal is to position the city as a national leader by strengthening the MSMEs and startup sector. We will consistently strive to secure essential resources for industries, such as an independent airport, improved infrastructure, affordable industrial electricity rates, ample water supply, skilled labour force, strategic location, and efficient transportation. To achieve this, we will engage in regular consultations with industry experts.”

He continued, “We will formulate a strategy to bolster the IT hub, which generates employment across various sectors, from construction to hospitality services, significantly contributing to the economy. Pune currently contributes 18 per cent to the state’s per capita income. We will advocate for the development of an international standard exhibition centre to benefit industries, services, and professionals. Additionally, we will devise a plan to boost district exports.”

Promoting Research for Pune’s Development:
Pune is home to over two dozen research institutes, including NCL, NIV, ACCS, NCRA, IUCCA, IISER, C-DAC, C-MET, IITM, and CWPR. These institutions can play a crucial role in the city’s overall advancement. Mohol emphasized the promotion of research through these institutes to foster Pune’s development.
