BOARD EXAM FEVER – Strategies

Pune, 12th February 2025: With the board exams at the doorstep, students and parents have reached an increased level of anxiety. Board exams can be stressful, but with the right strategies, you can tackle them confidently. The role of parents, teachers, peers and immediate family members, in the life of these teenagers is immense.
They need to constantly MOTIVATE AND UPLIFT these little kids in understanding that LIFE is more than just their board exam marks. While securing good marks is necessary at the same time balancing the stress is equally important. It needs to be asserverated to them that they CAN DO WELL. Board exams are just a part of their growing up and not their entire life.
Some pointers to help these youngsters manage themselves before the boards –
1. Understand the Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Go through the official syllabus and exam format.
Identify key topics with high weightage.
Solve question papers.
2. Create a Study Plan
Divide subjects into daily and weekly targets.
Allocate more time to difficult topics but revise easy ones regularly.
Include short breaks to avoid burnout.
3. Use Effective Study Techniques
Active Learning: Summarize notes in your own words.
Pomodoro Technique: Study for 25-50 minutes, then take a 5-10 minute break.
Mind Maps: Help in quick revision and memory retention.
Writing: more writing practice helps retain information.
4. Practice Regularly
Solve mock tests and sample papers within the time limit.
Work on time management by setting timers for each section.
Identify weak areas and improve them.
5. Maintain a Healthy Routine.
Most Importantly – Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep at night. The maximum rejuvenation of the brain is at night. Adequate rest is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
Eat healthy and nutritious food to stay energized.
Exercise or meditate to reduce stress or play your favourite sport to feel relaxed.
6. Stay Positive & Manage Stress
Avoid last-minute cramming; trust your preparation.
Use relaxation techniques like deep breathing and mindfulness.
Stay away from distractions like excessive social media.
Avoid being stressed and BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DO WELL.
7. Exam Day Strategy
Read the question paper thoroughly before starting.
Trust yourself.
Manage time wisely—attempt.
Review answers to avoid slips.
Pray, pray and pray.
By staying organized, practising consistently, and maintaining a positive mindset, you can handle board exams effectively and achieve great results! Wishing all the forthcoming examinees a successful and happy board exam time.
