Pune, 24th April 2025: The mortal remains of two Pune residents — Santosh Jagdale and Kaustubh Ganbote — who were killed on Tuesday in the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, arrived in the city early Thursday morning.

The atmosphere at Pune Airport was heavy with grief as family members, public representatives, and citizens gathered to receive the bodies. Pune MP and Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, Maharashtra Minister Madhuri Misal, Vadgaonsheri MLA Bapusaheb Pathare, and Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi were present to pay their respects.

After the official tributes were paid, the bodies were transported to the deceased’s residences — Ganbote’s home in Kondhwa and Jagdale’s home in Karvenagar — where family members and neighbors gathered to mourn the tragic loss.

The last rites of both victims will be performed later today at Vaikunth Crematorium in Navi Peth, amid tight security and a large turnout of grieving citizens.

Jagdale and Ganbote had been visiting the picturesque region of Pahalgam when terrorists killed them in front of their family members.
