Bollywood Mourns the Loss of Actor-Director Satish Kaushik

Mumbai, 9th March 2023: Bollywood actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away on Wednesday morning due to a heart attack at the age of 65. The news of his untimely demise was confirmed by his close friend and fellow actor Anupam Kher on social media.

 

Kaushik had been an integral part of the Hindi film industry for several decades, having acted in numerous films and also directed some of them. He was known for his versatile performances in films like ‘Mr. India’, ‘Brick Lane’, ‘Tere Naam’ and ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’, among others.

 

Kher, who had worked with Kaushik in several films, took to Twitter to express his grief over the loss of his dear friend. “Just got the sad news of my dear friend and colleague Satish Kaushik’s demise. He was a wonderful actor and a great human being. May he rest in peace,” Kher wrote.

 

Several other Bollywood personalities also took to social media to pay their condolences and express their shock at Kaushik’s sudden demise. Actor Manoj Bajpayee tweeted, “Shocked and saddened to hear about the untimely demise of Satish Kaushik ji. A wonderful actor and a gem of a person. Prayers and condolences to the family. Rest in peace.”

 

Director Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted, “Sad to hear about the demise of Satish Kaushik ji. A great actor and a wonderful human being. My heartfelt condolences to the family. RIP.”

 

Kaushik’s death has left a void in the film industry and among his fans. He will always be remembered for his contribution to Indian cinema and his unforgettable performances on the big screen.
