‘Bond and Beyond..The Stories of Musical Togetherness’, a special program to showcase the joint works of Dr. Swati and Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar
Pune, 08 November 2022: The joint works of husband wife duo of the acclaimed Bharat Natyam dancer Dr. Swati and noted Santoor player Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar will be showcased during a special program titled ‘Bond and Beyond..The Stories of Musical Togetherness’ to be held at Tilak Smarak Mandir on Sunday November 13th at 9:00am. Entry to this program is free on first come first serve basis.
During this program some of the best works jointly done by this husband wife duo shall be showcased through performances. Moreover, Neeraja Apte will try to unfold the journey done together in the field of performing art and music through an interactive session during this program.
Dr. Swati Daithankar is world renowned Bharatnatyam exponent from India and a celebrated dancer whereas Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar is a very well known Santoor player and is a senior disciple of Santoor maestro Padma Vibhushan Pt Shivkumar Sharma. There have been over 15 projects that have been done together by this duo where Dr. Swati was involved as a researcher, choreographer and performer and the music was composed by Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar. This journey which started in the year 2000 and has successfully continued till date. Programs done by this duo in the last 22 years has taken place in many countries like USA, France, Switzerland, Canada, Italy and Singapore apart from India. This will be the inaugural session of ‘Bond and Beyond’ which will be staged in other cities and countries in the days to come.
The program has been conceptualized by Dr. Swati Daithankar and some of her disciples would be accompanying her in this program.
