British Vehicle Manufacturer MG Motors to Expand Electric Portfolio with Cloud EV Launch

Pune, 17th June 2024: British automaker MG Motors is set to bolster its electric vehicle (EV) lineup in India by introducing the Cloud EV in the premium segment. Known for its diverse range of cars and SUVs, including electric variants, MG Motors aims to strengthen its EV offerings with the imminent launch of the Cloud EV. According to reports, this new electric vehicle is expected to feature advanced specifications such as connected lights, LED lighting, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system. Additionally, it will include Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and a sunroof, catering to tech-savvy consumers.
The Cloud EV is projected to measure 4295 mm in length, 1850 mm in width, and 1652 mm in height, offering a spacious and modern design. It will be equipped with a 50.6 kWh battery, providing an impressive range of up to 460 kilometers on a single charge. The company has not yet disclosed the exact launch date, but media reports suggest a potential rollout by September, just ahead of the festive season in India.
Currently, MG Motors offers two electric vehicles in the Indian market, namely the Comet EV and the ZS EV, positioned at different price points. The introduction of the Cloud EV is expected to elevate MG Motors’ presence in the premium EV segment, completing its trio of electric offerings in India. The move underscores MG Motors’ commitment to expanding its footprint in the rapidly growing Indian electric vehicle market.
