By 2025, French Government Hopes To Train Approximately 20,000 Indian Students: French Minister

New Delhi, 19th November 2022: During his visit to the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Delhi, France’s Minister for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, Jean-Noel Barrot, stated that the country aims to host and train five lakh foreign students by the year 2025.

 

According to President Emmanuel Macron’s vision, there would then be 20,000 Indian students there from the 4 lakh who are already enrolled.

 

The French Minister also discussed the value of technological advancement in Indo-French relations and the opportunities that exist in France for Indian students, researchers, and businesses.

 

He added that France has prioritized international collaboration, as evidenced by the international co-publications, which account for more than 60% of all scientific publications in France.

 

In France, there are about 70,000 Ph.D. students, 40% of whom are from other countries. Mr. Barrot interacted with the institute’s students as the event came to a close.
