CA Pranav Apte elected chairman of the ICAI Pune branch
Pune, 23rd February 2026: CA Pranav Apte has been elected chairman of the Pune branch of WIRC of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the term 2026–27. CA Nilesh Yeolekar was elected vice-chairman, CA Neha Phadke secretary, CA Nandakumar Kadam treasurer, and CA Sarika Dindokar chairperson of the student association ‘WICASA’ Pune of ICAI.
Apte formally assumed charge from outgoing chairman CA Sachin Miniyar. The newly announced managing committee includes CA Sachin Miniyar, CA Hrishikesh Badve, CA Pritesh Munot, and CA Pradnya Bamb as members.
ICAI central council member CA Chandrashekhar Chitale, regional council member CA Rajesh Agrawal, CA Rekha Dhamankar, and CA Abhishek Dhamane, among others, congratulated the newly elected office-bearers. Miniyar presented a report on the initiatives and activities undertaken during his tenure, noting that the Pune branch and its student wing ‘WICASA’ secured two second-place awards each at national and regional levels. He also expressed gratitude to colleagues and staff.
Apte said he plans to organise innovative initiatives for members and students throughout the year, including training in artificial intelligence technologies and promotion of sustainable and eco-friendly practices. He added that the Pune branch currently has over 12,000 members and more than 25,000 affiliated students, and efforts will be made to provide them with better facilities and support.
