New Delhi, 30th October 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the final date sheet for the 2026 board examinations for Classes 10 and 12. The exams are set to begin on February 17, 2026. Students can download the complete timetable from the official website — www.cbse.gov.in.

According to the official notification, the Class 10 board exams will be held from February 17 to March 10, 2026, while the Class 12 board exams will continue till April 9, 2026. Both exams will be conducted in a single shift from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CBSE has introduced a major reform — Class 10 students will now have the option to appear for the board exams twice a year, providing them with greater flexibility and reducing exam-related stress.

CBSE also highlighted that this is the first time the date sheet has been released 110 days before the commencement of the exams. The early announcement aims to help students plan their studies better and allow schools to organize academic schedules more efficiently.

The board has urged students to update their exam calendars, noting that some changes have been made to the previously tentative Class 10 timetable.

Students are advised to regularly check the CBSE website for any further updates or clarifications regarding the 2026 board examinations.
