Chakan municipal council, contractor fined Rs 18 lakhs
Pune – The district administration has imposed a penalty of Rs 18.69 lakhs on the Chakan municipal council and its contractor for alleged illegal excavation of murum for filling potholes.
The order was issued by Khed Tehsildar after complaint was filed by BJP members that royalty was not paid on the murum.
RTI activist Balasaheb Chaudhary and BJP member Ajay Jagnade had lodged a complaint in this regard against M/s Gosavibaba Constructions.
