GST – A Step Towards Betterment

Pune – Tax ,Tax, Tax!!! Finally, the GST has made up gripped the mindset of people. On the decision had been taken at the council meet of the two day GST which started in Srinagar to reduce the tax on daily items. As stated by GST systems, the council has fixed total of 1211 items on Thursday which includes items like milk butter, cheese, artificial fur items, video games, AC, refrigerator, vegetables,

fruits, stationery etc and goods in all aviators from iron pellets to rods. The list approved by GST council, includes most goods except textiles, footwear, biscuits and a few other. Rates for all those services is likely to be finalized on Friday.

Discussions done by Goods and services Taxes Council on imposing the taxes on some items and reducing the prices of the goods have made a great impact on the minds of citizens. It’s just a blessing came true for poor sections of the society and middle class citizens and have given them a hope that prices of goods will be reduced and have lowered the effect of the words “TAX” and ‘higher prices for them’. Conclusions given by GST council have not only given people a hope about betterment but also have assured them that they will be leading a better life ahead.

Finance Minister, Arun Jaitely said that the tax on many items has come down. Where 81% of the items have been reduced by 18% and less than only 19% of the items have been fixed at 28%. There are four steps that have been made by GST council, where 5% GST on 14% items will be applied, 12% GST on 17% items, 18% GST ON 43% items and 28% GST on 19% items will be applied. GST rates have been finalized for items like 0% for milk, cereals, contraceptives, printed books etc. 5% for

coal, renewable energy devices, bakery mixes, cane sugar etc. 12% on anesthesia fertilizers, tooth powders, lens, lpg stores etc. 18% on hair oils, soap, plastic products , cell phones etc and 28% on pan masala , paints, deodorants, plywood, refrigerators, AC etc.

Plan made by GST council, will help the poor sections of the society to grow in terms of economic conditions and help them live a better life.

Increasing the prices of drugs, cigarettes, tobacco, pan masala will help the addicted citizens to cut down the habit of consumption, which is certainly a boon of decision taken by GST council.

So, decision of GST Council, all way long is on the verge of providing people of India a better economic life and helping some sections of the society to grow up to the equal standard of the middle class people.
