CISF distributes woollen clothes to handicapped, senior citizens in Yerwada

Pune – Under the aegis of Sanrakshika, CISF Unit ASG Pune (airport) has distributed woolen clothes, jersey, blankets shirts and pants to the handicapped children at Yerwada seeing the winter season and the requirement they had as a welfare measures as a  responsibility  towards the society. CISF personnel including their wives were present during the event.

Further woolen clothes and blankets were also distributed among the road side old aged personnel.

During this program Deputy Commandant S K Bajpai, smt Pratima  Bajpai, Assistant Commandant smt Anita Dalal, inspector Praveen, SI L K Sinha, ASI Pooja and other CISF personnel were present.

“Sanrakshika” is of recent origin and was established in August 2014.  Despite this, the strides which it has taken to give a new dimension and fillip to welfare activities in CISF, is truly commendable.  The  myriad schemes and measures, which “Sanrakshika” has undertaken over the last few years, are of great relevance, both, in  their essence and reach- like career counseling for the wards, self defence  classes, reaching out to specially abled children,  merit awards for excellence in sports and academics, cultural &  sports activities for the families, environmental awareness,, heritage and cultural awareness  among the families, honing literary skills via “Sanrakshika” Udyaan magazine,  skill development etc.  Besides this, the association, also, has contributed to the society by setting up Night Shelters (“Rein-Basera”) in hospitals in Delhi, distribution of winter clothing and books & toys to the needy persons/children.
