CLAT 2021: Common law admission test to be held on June 13, instead of May 9

New Delhi, January 7, 2021: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT or CLAT) the date has been revised. The CLAT exam will now be conducted on June 13, 2021. According to the new notice issued by the Body Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU), the body organizing the examination will now be held on June 13, 2021.

Earlier, the entrance exam date was set to May 9. The body issued the notice at their website consortiumofnlus.ac.in on January 6.

The new notice of CNLU states that the dates of CLAT 2021 have been amended due to the recently released schedule of the CBSE board examination. Many students who appeared in the CBSE board exams also appear in the CLAT UG exam. Due to this, the entrance exam date has been revised. CLAT exam is conducted for admission in five-year Bachelor’s Degree (LLB) course and Masters Degree (LLM) course at various National Law Universities (NLU) located across the country.

CLAT 2021 application from January 1 to March 31

The registration process for CLAT 2021 examination is going on. The application process started on January 1, and interested candidates can submit their applications by March 31, 2021. Candidates can visit the CLAT exam portal, consortiumofnlus.ac.in for an application.

Who can register for CLAT 2021?

Only those who have passed the 12th standard with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized board can apply for the CLAT UG 2021 exam. However, only 40% of marks have been prescribed in the qualifying examination for reserved categories candidates.

Simultaneously, for the CLAT PG 2021 examination, the candidates should have passed graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
