Climate Roast 2026 Set to Make Climate Culture Mainstream in Pune
By Ketaki Latkar
Pune, 20th December 2025: This winter, Pune will host a compelling convergence of culture, satire, and climate action.
ECOICE, an Indo-Canadian climate innovation company, will be bringing its flagship event, Climate Roast 2026, to 2BHK Diner and Keyclub, the Mills, on January 4.
The company is led by Dr. Karan Chavan of Pune, now based in Canada.
Designed as a high-impact cultural intervention, Climate Roast merges stand-up comedy, rap battles, and incisive political satire to spotlight pressing environmental realities. The Pune edition will feature a celebrity roast panel, participation from over 100 rappers and digital creators, and a robust prize pool—₹1,00,000 for first place, ₹50,000 for second, ₹25,000 for third, along with ₹10,000 earmarked for wildcard RAP entries and special prizes—firmly positioning climate discourse within mainstream entertainment.

Positioned as the headline event of ECOICE’s cultural climate programming, Climate Roast 2026 aims to disrupt conventional environmental conversations by placing them at the centre of popular culture. By using humour, music, and satire as tools of truth-telling, the event seeks to engage younger audiences and creators, making climate dialogue sharper, louder, and culturally relevant.
“Climate action can no longer exist solely within scientific or policy circles—it must evolve into culture. Through comedy, music, and satire, we are placing climate truth where people naturally engage. Pune is the ideal city for this shift,” shared Chavan.
