Cloudy Skies, Frequent Showers to Dominate Pune Weather Next Six Days
Pune, 25th September 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cloudy skies and spells of rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Pune over the next six days, with heavy showers expected in the Ghat regions.
According to the forecast, on September 26, the city is likely to experience a generally cloudy sky with very light to light rain and thunderstorms. Isolated areas in the Ghats may receive heavy rainfall.
On September 27, light rain and thunderstorms will continue across Pune, while the Ghat areas are expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The IMD has sounded a stronger alert for September 28, forecasting light to moderate showers in Pune city and heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in the Ghats.
Rainfall activity is likely to persist on September 29, with the city experiencing light to moderate rain and isolated heavy showers in the hilly regions.
For September 30 and October 1, the IMD has predicted a generally cloudy sky with chances of light to moderate rainfall.
Officials have advised residents in the Ghat sections to remain alert, particularly on September 27 and 28, when intense downpours could cause waterlogging, reduced visibility, or disruption of traffic movement.
