CM Thackeray Directs To Table Pune-Nashik Railway Route Proposal

The proposal will also boost the tourism and employment generation between the routes. A presentation was made before the CM which showed the pending railway routes in various parts of the state. To boost this project ‘Maharashtra Infrastructure Development Corporation (Maharail) was framed. During the presentation, CM directed to present the high-speed railway proposal between Pune and Nashik before the cabinet.
The proposal estimate is Rs 16,000 crore wherein in both the Centre and State will have an equal contribution. The high-speed railway will run with a high speed of 200 km/hour which will reduce the travel time between the two cities to just two hours.
The meeting was attended by deputy CM Ajit Pawar, transport minister Adv. Anil Parab, chief secretary Sanjaykumar, transport ministry secretary Ashish Kumar Singh, managing director of Maharail Rajeshkumar Jaiswal among others.
