He was replying to a calling attention motion raised by Vinayak Mete regarding the appointment of Maratha youth selected as per 2014 reservation criteria. So long as the Supreme Court’s final verdict is awaited on the Maratha reservation issue, the Maratha youth selected as per 2014 reservation norms cannot be appointed.

The formidable argument will be made in the Supreme Court regarding Maratha reservation and appointment of Maratha youth and strict action will be taken against those trying to create hurdles in this process, the Chief Minister said.

Thackeray appealed to the fasting youths to withdraw their agitation.
