CM Yogi Meets Prominent Figures From Bollywood; Encourages To Shoot Films In UP

Mumbai, 6th January 2023: On Thursday (January 5), Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, invited prominent figures from the entertainment industry to learn more about his state’s potential as a filming location.

CM Yogi said, “We have made two of your film fraternity members MPs and we know the difficulties you confront and what needs to be done. The nation’s unity and sovereignty are maintained and the society is brought together through cinema.”

He claimed that Uttar Pradesh has established itself as a film-friendly state and that the National Film Awards and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) have recognised this.

CM Yogi is in Mumbai to promote an investor summit that will be held in Lucknow next month.

According to the chief minister’s government’s film policy, a web series that is filmed in Uttar Pradesh will receive a 50% subsidy. Similarly, a 25% subsidy is provided for the construction of studios and film labs.

The meeting included Actor and Gorakhpur Lok Sabha MP Ravi Kishen, Producer Boney Kapoor, Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Nirhua, Playback Singers Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher, Actor Suniel Shetty, and Directors Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Madhur Bhandarkar, and Rajkumar Santoshi.
