CNG Price In Pune Will Be Rs 77.20 From Tomorrow; Price To Reach Rs 80 In Few Days

Pune, 28th April 2022: The fuel price rise continues in Pune.
The CNG retail selling price will be Rs 77.20 per Kg from Friday, 29 April 2022.
Ali Daruwala, spokesperson for the All India Petrol Dealers Association (AIPDA), told PunekarNews.in ,”Due to increase in input cost of domestic natural gas, CNG retail selling price shall be revised upward effective from midnight of 28th/29th April 2022 in Pune.”
He added that the main reason for the prices of CNG to increase is as following.
1) Domestically produced gas in India is not sufficient for the demand of Indian customers. The demand for India itself has tripled in last one year.
2) India was purchasing gas from Qatar , Muscat, and other Arabian countries for last several years for 20 dollars per cylinder.
3) Due to sudden cut of gas supplies to European countries by Russia because they supported Ukraine against Russia.
4) These European countries have started buying gas from Arabian countries at 40 dollars per cylinder which is double the price and 40 dollars is again cheap gas for European union.
5) The demand at 40 dollars has put extra burden on Indian exchequer and if this continues then CNG will reach Rs 80 per Kg in next few days.
6) The last reason is the LNG cargo ships which are coming to India via sea route too had been disrupted due to trouble in route via Arabian countries because of war situtation.
7) Until the Russian and Ukraine War ends we cannot expect any respite in form of price cuts.
