Conference of Behavioral Studies in Management 2022

Pune, 29th January 2022: Symbiosis Centre for Behavioral Studies (SCBS), powered by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune, organised the Conference of Behavioral Studies in Management 2022, on the theme “Future of Behavioral Studies in the current context.”
The first day of the conference was an eclectic mix of ideas as Dr. Michel Wedel, Professor of Marketing, University of Maryland, U.S., Dr. Russell Belk, Professor Marketing, Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada and Dr. Arvind Sahay, Professor of Marketing and International Business, Chairperson, Center of Behavioral Studies, IIM Ahmedabad addressed the audience and shared their experience in the field of research. They also enunciated the wide-ranging applications of the subject matter and congratulated Symbiosis Centre for Behavioural Studies for the continuous steps being taken in furthering the work in the field of Behavioral studies. Dr. Aradhana Gandhi, Professor In-Charge, Symbiosis Centre for Behavioral Studies (SCBS), SIBM moderated the aforementioned conversations while also conducting a Conference workshop on Behavioral Studies using Tobii Eye-tracker.
The second day saw two-panel discussions amongst industry stalwarts both of which were moderated by Dr. Aradhana Gandhi. The first panel discussion revolved around, “Envisioning the Future: Building on Behavioral Studies” and saw Mr. Aditya Saraf – Senior Consultant, Renaissance Strategic Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Ms. Babita Tiwari – Director Consumer Insights, Viacom18 Media Private Limited, Mr. Chaitanya Razdan – Senior Manager Consumer Insights, NielsenIQ, Mr. Raj Mylavarapu – Vice President, Insights Digital & Business Development, Kantar, Mr. Sandeep Arora – Exec VP & Head – Customer Management Solutions & Consulting, Datamatics and Ms. Sharmila Das – Founder and Chairwoman, Purple Audacity share their views on how data interpretation depends on the mindfulness of the researcher, personalisation, consumer designing, social listening, gamification, data privacy laws and more.
The second panel discussion served as a platform to discuss the amalgamation of data analytics and research, techniques used – traditional and modern, visual merchandising, establishing market ROI, VUCA world and other such arenas of, “Consumer Insights: Findings from Behavioral Studies.” The session hosted Mr. Achin Sehgal – Consumer Insights Lead, Perfetti Van Melle, Mr. Aniket Patil – Consumer Researcher and Digital Customer Experience, Bajaj Finserv, Dr. Sameer Siyal – Consumer Insights Specialist, Reliance Retail, Mr. Vijoy Roy – Consumer Insights Manager, Practo Technologies and Mr. Imran Ahmed – Trade Category Manager, Unilever.
Dr Ramakrishnan Raman, Director SIBM Pune and Dean Faculty of Management SIU stated “The conference helped the audience members gain a unique perspective on the changing landscape of Behavioral Studies while weaving the wisdom of eminent members of the industry and academia”
