Pune, 4th May 2024: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (State Board) is set to release the results of the class 10th and 12th examinations earlier than in the previous year, as indicated by the board itself.

The 12th examinations took place from February 21st to March 23rd, while the 10th examinations occurred from March 1st to 26th across the nine divisional boards of Maharashtra. Over 1.6 lakh students registered for the 10th examination, and more than 1.5 lakh for the 12th examination. Discussions surrounding the result dates for these exams have surfaced in recent days, leading to some confusion due to circulating information on social media. In response, the Central Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (CBSE) clarified that their 10th and 12th exam results will be announced after May 20th, intensifying curiosity about the state board’s announcement dates.

In contrast to last year’s schedule, when the state board declared the 12th exam results on May 25th and the 10th exam results on June 2nd, the board has expressed readiness to announce the results sooner this year. This adjustment will afford students who pass these exams and their parents more time to prepare for admission into subsequent courses.

State Board President Sharad Gosavi stated, “The state board is currently in the process of preparing the results for the 10th and 12th exams. We plan to announce the 12th results in the third week of May and the 10th results by the end of May. This year, we aim to release the results earlier than last year.”
