Connect New India with New Thoughts – CM Fadnavis in dialogue with 5000 students
Mumbai, Sept 6., 2019: “Give up illiteracy, evil habits, and disrespect, connect India with New Thoughts” This is the new mantra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis gave to the youth.
Interacting with 5000 students Fadnavis said that though there is a period of recession in economic sector, the internal situation within the country is fine and the economy will bounce back within six months, he exuded confidence.
While presenting his thoughts and his expectations from the young generation, Chief Minister Fadnavis played well responding to the questions from the students. He sang the national anthem with famous singer Luis in the beginning and made an imprint on the hearts of the students by presenting a song “Rashtra Vijayee ho Hamara”
He was speaking at the India’s International Movement for Unite Nations organized by India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN). The founder of this institution Rishabh Shah was present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Fadnavis further said that Indian culture is all encompassing. “Vasudhaiva Kutambakam”–The whole world is our family – is our culture. Swami Vivekananda stated the importance of this principle in his famous lecture in Chicago. This platform will be useful to spread this thought in the world through the youth. Our country has the maximum population of youth and it is necessary to use this youth power into human resources. Earlier, Europe, Japan, Korea and China took the advantage of their youth power for their benefit and progress. Our country is marching towards becoming a $5 trillion economy and the state has fixed its target of becoming $1 trillion economy. Mumbai will have to play a major role in this. While doing this, we have to develop 40,000 villages also. This will be possible by strengthening the rural economy and for that we need skill training also.
He said that each youth should shoulder the responsibility to bring smile on the face of at least one person while marching towards self-development and progress. Chief Minister Fadnavis answered all the questions coming from the students on various subjects.
Welcoming those entering with valid papers, but…
Replying to a question on disallowing citizenship to some people who entered India, CM Fadnavis said commenting on the actions taken under the NRC that our country always welcomed those who came here with due permission and valid documents. But he clarified that no mercy will be shown to those who sneak into our country and engage in anti-India activities.
Recession and State’s situation:
It was important for the students to know the opinion of the Chief Minister on the hottest issue of recession at global level vis-à-vis situation in the state. Replying to the questions on this aspect Chief Minister Fadnavis said the Centre and the State governments have drafted an industry-friendly policy and implemented new and comprehensive tax system. Efforts are made to bring transparency by amending bank solvency system and removing the difficulties therein. The situation is under control and in coming three to six months the country will take a new jump in the economic sector, he exuded confidence.
