Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is duty of all to conserve nature and environment. Govardhan Pooja is occasion to express gratitude towards nature. The Chief Minister stated this on the occasion of Govardhan Pooja on the second day after Deepawali here today. His wife Smt. Sadhana Singh also performed Gau-Pooja with rites and rituals.
The Chief Minister said that in Indian culture, message of conserving nature is given through Govardhan Pooja. India has the tradition to conserve living beings, plants & trees, rivers and environment since this would keep the Earth safe. Nature should be tapped but not exploited. He urged to take pledge on Govardhan Pooja to conserve trees and plants, rivers and environment.
Shri Chouhan and Smt. Sadhana Singh and their son Kartikey performed Pooja and Arti and wished for augmentation of cow progeny in Madhya Pradesh.
Revenue Minister Shri Rampal Singh and Shri Shiv Chaube were also present on the occasion.
