29th December 2023: In the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati,’ host Amitabh Bachchan often poses intriguing questions about stars associated with the film world. Contestants with a passion for cinema swiftly respond, while others find themselves stumped. In a recent episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15,’ a contestant encountered difficulty when asked about Bollywood icon Helen.
During the latest installment of KBC 15, contestant Lalit Kumar secured a prize of Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand. However, the challenge arose with a Rs 25 lakh question, which focused on a Bollywood actress and Salman Khan’s stepmother. Following his triumph of Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand, Amitabh Bachchan presented Lalit with the 25 lakh question: “Which of these actresses was born in Myanmar and fled to India with her family during the Second World War?” Options included Sulochana, Suraiya, Nadira, and Helen. Stumped by this query, Lalit opted to exit the game without taking any risks. Amitabh Bachchan promptly revealed the correct answer—Helen, the actress who fled Myanmar during World War II, sharing the challenging journey her family undertook to escape Japanese occupation.
It’s worth noting that Helen is the second wife of Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan. Recognized for her roles in films like Don, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mohabbatein, and Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Helen’s cinematic journey includes a previous marriage to Prem Narayan Arora, culminating in divorce in 1974.
