Corona Vaccination Drive To Begin In The Next 10 Days: Health Ministry
New Delhi, January 5, 2021: The Union Health Ministry today said that on the basis of dry run, the government is ready for vaccination within 10 days of emergency approval. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that four primary vaccine stores have been built in the country. These are in Karnal (Haryana), Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. In addition, there are 37 vaccine stores across the country where the vaccine will be stored and distributed further.
Apart from vaccination, there is also good news about Corona cases. There has been a big drop in the number of corona infections in the country. In the last 24 hours, only 16 thousand 278 new infections were identified, while 29 thousand 209 patients were cured. 200 people died. In this way, the number of active cases i.e. patients being treated decreased by 13 thousand 140. This is the biggest drop since December 16. Then 15 thousand 569 active cases were reduced.
So far, 1.03 crore infected have been identified in the country. Of these, 99.75 lakh have been cured, while 1.49 lakh people have lost their lives due to this epidemic.
