Coronavirus : India registers biggest single-day spike of 8,392 coronavirus cases, 230 deaths

New Delhi, 1 June 2020 :India is now seventh among the nations worst hit by the Covid-19 pandemic after the US, Brazil, Russia, the UK, Spain and Italy, according to the WHO coronavirus tracker.

 

India registers biggest single-day spike of 8,392 coronavirus cases, 230 deaths, Crosses 190,535 According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 190,535 across the country. Out of this, 91,818 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 5394 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 93,322 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.

Across Maharashtra, there were 2487 new COVID19 cases yesterday  taking the total number of cases to 67655 . Also, 89 people died while 1248 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 36,031 active cases. The total death toll stands at 2286, while 29,329 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

Of the 230 deaths reported since Sunday morning, 89 are in Maharashtra, 57 in Delhi, 31 in Gujarat, 13 in Tamil Nadu, 12 in Uttar Pradesh, eight in West Bengal, seven in Madhya Pradesh, five in Telangana, three in Karnataka, two in Andhra Pradesh and one each in Bihar, Punjab and Rajasthan.
