Coronavirus: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray To Address At 8.30 pm Today

Pune, 2nd April 2021: Amid the alarming rise in coronavirus cases across Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will address the people at 8.30 pm today through social media.

Chief Minister Thackeray will address the people of the state after a review meeting today. Before CM’s address, speculation has intensified that he may announce a complete lockdown in the state.

The night curfew has been announced in Pune, Maharashtra, which is most affected by the new wave of Corona in the country. The decision will come into effect from Saturday 3rd April and will be reviewed next Friday. This night curfew will remain in force from 6 pm to 6 am. This will be the longest curfew as compared to the night curfew imposed in many cities of the country.

Pune Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao said that the bar, hotel, restaurants will be closed for the next 7 days. Except for marriage (with maximum 50 guest) and funeral (maximum 20 people), no other public program will be allowed. All religious places will also be completely closed.
