COVID cases cross 1 Lakh mark in Pune district
Mumbai, Aug 5, 2020: A total of 6165 patients were discharged and 10,309 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 2386 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 334 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.52%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 4,68,265 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 3,05,521 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.52%. As of today, there are 1,45,961 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 65.25% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.52%. Currently, 9,43,658 people are in home quarantine and 36,466 people are in institutional quarantine.
Out of 24,13,510 laboratory samples, 4,68,265 have been tested positive (19.40%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,908,254 across the country. Out of this, 1,282,215 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 38,795 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 586,244 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
