Criminal Reception: Gangster Released From Jail, Procession With 50 Vehicles After Reception With Flowers; Case Filed Again After Uproar

Mumbai, February 16, 2021: On Monday, Pimpri Chinchwad’s eminent gangster Gajanan Marne was released from Mumbai’s Taloja Jail, acquitted in the murder of two people. As soon as the information about Gajanan’s release was reported, more than 300 supporters rushed outside Taloja Jail in more than 50 cars. As soon as the head of the Marne gang came out of the prison, supporters welcomed him with a rain of flowers and undertook a procession.

Gajanan Marne, who was imprisoned for three years, was accused of killing Aman Baade and Pappu Gavade, who live in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Both of them were criminals as well and were working against the Gajanan gang. After the murder, a gang war situation arose in the city. Three years ago, police arrested Gajanan Marne and he was imprisoned in the Taloja Jail in Mumbai. The hearings for the case continued and the court released Ghajanan from prison for lack of evidence.

Procession that did not stop at any toll booth

 

On Monday evening, Gajanan Marne upon release left the vicinity in a bulletproof SUV with guards. Supporters were already waiting at the main gate of the prison. On seeing him, slogans were being yelled out and after the rain of flowers, a procession began from Taloja Jail. Gajanan Marne was in the front while his supporters were riding in more than 50 cars behind. Gajanan is accused that his car did not stop at any toll plaza falling on the Mumbai Expressway and no one paid toll money.

Case re-filed after breaking the rules

 

Pimpri Chinchwad commissioner Krishna Prakash said drone cameras were used without permission to cover the procession. The drone has been seized. A case has been registered against Gajanan Marne and his 300 unidentified supporters under sections 188, 143, 273, and 135 of IPC.
