CTET January 2024 Registration Begins; CBSE Releases Official Notification

New Delhi, 3rd November 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the initiation of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 examination. The official notification for the examination has been released on the website ctet.nic.in. As per the notification, the online application process for the examination commenced on 3 November 2023, and interested eligible candidates can fill out the application form on the official website. The deadline to submit your applications is on 23rd November 2023.

The 18th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test is scheduled to be conducted on 21 January 2024. This nationwide exam will take place in twenty test centers across 135 cities.

Fee Structure
For General/OBC (NCL) candidates applying for either Paper I or Paper II, the CTET examination fee is ₹1000. However, for those opting for both Paper I and Paper II, the examination fee is ₹1200. On the other hand, for SC/ST candidates, the examination fee is ₹500 for either Paper I or Paper II, and for those applying for both papers, the fee is ₹600.

Exam Pattern
The CTET exam consists entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) where each question will have four options, of which one will be the correct answer. Each question will be carrying one mark. There is no negative marking.

CTET January Registration 2024: Downloading the Notification
To apply for the CTET exam, candidates must first visit the official website https://ctet.nic.in. Then, proceed to the “Apply Online” link.
Fill in the online application form. Upload the scanned image and signature. Make the payment of the examination fee via debit/credit card or net banking. Finally, keep a copy of the filled form for future reference.
