Deepak Mankar Appointed Ajit Pawar’s NCP’s City President For Pune
Pune 6th July 2023: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) faction led by Ajit Pawar has appointed Deepak Mankar as the president of the party for Pune City. This comes at a time when Prashant Jagtap, the current city president of the NCP led by Sharad Pawar is still holding the position. The newly appointed state president of Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction Sunil Tatkare handed over the appointment letter to Mankar.
The decision came as a surprise for many as Deepak Mankar was said to be close to Sharad Pawar while Prashant Jagtap who was said to be close to Ajit Pawar chose to remain with senior Pawar.
Earlier Ajit Pawar faction leaders made several appointment after the revolt. Rupali Chakanakar was appointed the State president of women wing of the party while Rupali Thombare Patil was appointed the state spokesperson of the party.
Interestingly, Prashant Jagtap had earlier expressed his wish to contest the Lok Sabha Election from Pune constituency and at the same time Deepak Mankar was also interested in contesting the bypoll election for the seat vacated after the demise of sitting MP Girish Bapat.
