5th January 2024: Deepika Padukone, renowned as Bollywood’s most successful and captivating actress, gained immense adoration after tying the knot with actor Ranveer Singh. Their off-screen chemistry enthralls fans as much as their on-screen performances. On Deepika’s birthday, a closer look at their love story reveals that the couple, fondly referred to as “Deep-Veer,” initially crossed paths at an awards ceremony. However, it was their joint venture in the film “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” in 2013 that sparked their affection for each other, with the movie showcasing numerous romantic scenes, one of which led to an unscripted prolonged kiss, signaling the blossoming of their relationship.

Their collaboration in three films directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, starting with “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” in 2013, followed by “Bajirao-Mastani” in 2015 and “Padmavat” in 2018, further cemented their on-screen chemistry, winning the hearts of audiences. Following nearly two years of dating, Ranveer disclosed their private engagement in 2015 on Karan Johar’s show “Coffee with Karan,” expressing his profound commitment to Deepika and revealing their secretive engagement on a vacation, facilitated by his sister and mother’s involvement in purchasing a ring for her.

The couple sealed their relationship with a grand two-way ceremony at Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy, in 2018. Deepika adorned a saree gifted by her mother on their wedding day. Amidst speculations about her motherhood, following her marriage to Ranveer Singh post her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika, now 38, has expressed her desire for motherhood. She affirmed their mutual affection for children and their eagerness to welcome a new member into their family, emphasizing that despite her fame and fortune, her roots and values remain grounded, largely attributed to her family’s influence. Deepika and Ranveer aspire to impart similar values to their future children.
