Maharashtra, 11th June 2023:

The monsoon season made its much-awaited entry into the southern regions of Maharashtra, marking the onset of the rainy season. However, the northern limit of the monsoon’s advance experienced a delay of 4-5 days compared to its usual arrival.

Currently, the northern boundary stretches across key locations including Ratnagiri, Shimoga, Hassan, Dharmapuri, Shriharikota, 15/83, 18/87, 21/90, 23.5/90.5, Dhubri, and 28/89.

The deviation from the normal onset schedule has raised concerns among farmers and meteorologists, who will be closely monitoring the monsoon’s progress for the remainder of the season.
