New Delhi, January 26, 2021: Hundreds of farmers have reached the ramparts of Red Fort and have placed flags of Nishan Sahib and farmer organizations at the exact spot where the Prime Minister hoists the tricolour on Independence Day every year.

Farmers protesting against agricultural laws are taking out tractor parades in Delhi-NCR today. There is a lot of uproar in the tractor parade due to farmers changing routes. Protesting farmers have entered the Red Fort in Delhi amid reports of lathi-charge and clashes in Delhi-NCR.

Not only this, many metro stations including Lal Qila, Indraprastha Metro have been closed. Protesting farmers and the police clashed at ITO after which the police lathi-charged. Farmers were trying to break barricades at ITO in Delhi, where the police lathi-charged and tear gas shells were released.

Not only this, the entry/exit gates of Samaypur Badli, Rohini Sector 18/19, Haiderpur Badli More, Jahangir Puri, Adarsh ​​Nagar, Azadpur, Model Town, GTB Nagar, Vishwa Vidyalaya, Vidhan Sabha and Civil Lines are closed. DMRC said that all the metro stations of Green Line have been closed. There have also been reports of violence in several places between police and farmers.

It is necessary to mention here that thousands of farmers protesting against the three new agricultural laws of the Center started their first tractor parade in the national capital much ahead of the time prescribed by Delhi Police. On Tuesday, police fired tear gas shells at a group of farmers trying to break barricades and cement barricades planted at Mukarba Chowk in Delhi.
