Delhi Government Officials Visit Pune’s Registration Department to Learn about E-Registration System
Pune, 11th April 2023: The registration and stamp duty department in the state has implemented a computerized e-registration system for the registration of deeds in construction projects where there are over 20 flats or shops. This new system enables the registration of First Sale Agreements (First Sale) of flats through an online system from the offices of builders.
The Delhi Government has taken notice of this initiative and officials from the Delhi State Government have visited the Registration Department to learn about the project.
The Registration and Stamp Department has been continuously incorporating modern technology to improve its services to citizens. Over the past few years, emphasis has been placed on providing more and more facilities to citizens by utilizing a computerized system. Accordingly, for housing projects with more than 20 flats or shops, e-registration facilities have now been made available. This facility is only available for new flats (first sale), which means that there is no need to go to the sub registrar’s office for the registration of deeds. This has saved citizens time and has reduced congestion in the secondary registrar’s office.
Recently, four officials from the Delhi State Government visited the Registration and Stamp Office to learn about the e-registration system and other online facilities. Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps, Shravan Hardikar, also provided information about how the e-registration process works.
