Pune: 5000 kg of Misal Prepared and Distributed to Celebrate Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti
Ganj Peth, 11th April 2023: On the occasion of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti, the Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti Committee organized a unique event in Pune. To celebrate the birth anniversary of Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, who was one of the great men of India, 5000 kg of Misal was prepared and distributed among the people.
Internationally renowned chef Vishnu Manohar was entrusted with the responsibility of preparing the Misal. The event was held at Mahatma Phule Wada in Ganj Peth, Pune, and people from all walks of life participated in the celebrations.
The preparations for the Misal started early in the morning at 3 am. Under the supervision of Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, all the ingredients and spices were put into a huge cauldron, and the flame was lit at 6 am. Within an hour, 5000 kg of Misal was prepared and distributed to all the citizens who had come to greet at Mahatma Phule Wada.
Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was a prominent social reformer and activist who fought against social discrimination and for the rights of the marginalized sections of the society. The event was a tribute to his immense contribution towards the upliftment of society.
