Delhi Police personnel had displayed exemplary courage and bravery in saving the children.

27.02.16, a PCR call regardingcylinder burst and huge fire at A-163, Harijan Basti, Nasirpur, New Delhi underPolice Station Sagarpur was received. SI Jagdish alongwith Ct. Shyam Sunder, CtNitesh and Ct Prem Chand, rushed at the spot and other police personnel alsoreached there and found that huge fire had engulfed the whole building. It was learntthat at the second floor of the building, four children namely Master Sandeep S/o Sanjay, Age about 5 years,Master Sanjeet S/o Sanjay Age-3 years, Sonam D/o Sanjay, Age 7 years, SabanaD/o Sami Ahmed, Age-17 years were trapped in the fire. There was no way toescape and no other way to enter in the building to save the trapped children.The police personnel went to the third floor of the adjacent building andjumped into the building from there which was under fire. After that with thehelp of rope, they pulled all the children’s on the roof. All children weresaved and sent to the nearest Hospital.
