Delhi Train Alert: Check the List of Cancelled Trains for October 9 and 10
New Delhi, 9th October 2026: Northern Railway has cancelled 45 passenger and express train services scheduled for October 9 and 10, 2026, citing anticipated severe road traffic congestion around New Delhi Railway Station and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station.
The cancellations include local passenger trains operating between Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Panipat, Palwal, Mathura and other nearby destinations, along with several long-distance express services connecting Delhi with cities across northern and western India.
According to a Northern Railway press release dated October 9, the decision covers multiple services on both dates. Passengers have been advised to check their train status before travelling.
Among the affected local services are Train No. 64151 between Aligarh Junction and Delhi Junction, Train No. 64418 between Delhi Junction and Ghaziabad, Train No. 64407 between Ghaziabad and Delhi Junction, and Train No. 64001 between Delhi Junction and Panipat Junction.
Other cancelled services include trains connecting Ghaziabad with New Delhi and Mathura, Delhi Junction with Khurja and Palwal, and routes involving Shakur Basti, Qasim Pur Kheri, Saharanpur, Shamli, Moradabad and Dankaur.
Several long-distance trains have also been cancelled. These include Train No. 22221, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus–Hazrat Nizamuddin Express; Train Nos. 12446, 22462 and 04082 between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and New Delhi; and Train No. 12426 between Jammu Tawi and New Delhi.
The list also includes Train No. 12014 between Amritsar and New Delhi, Train No. 12006 between Kalka and New Delhi, Train Nos. 12229 and 12429 between Lucknow Charbagh and New Delhi, Train No. 15308 between Sirsa and Tilak Bridge, Train No. 12964 between Udaipur City and Hazrat Nizamuddin, and Train No. 14727 between Shri Ganganagar and Tilak Bridge.
Other affected services include Train No. 12155 between Rani Kamalapati and Hazrat Nizamuddin and Train No. 12059 between Kota and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
The cancellations cover trains originating or operating on October 9 as well as services scheduled for October 10. Passengers can check the latest train information through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or by calling railway helpline number 139.
