Demu Train Derails At Pune Railway Station, Major Accident Averted

Pune, 21st January 2022: Some coaches of Demu train derailed at Pune railway station around 9:30 am. Railway traffic was affected due to the derailment.

The incident took place when the train was heading towards Daund. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

Public Relations Officer Manoj Jhawar informed, “The Demu train of eight coaches was heading towards Daund. There were no passengers in it. The fourth coach derailed at 9:30 am. No casualties were reported in the incident. Now this train has been canceled and all other trains are running smoothly. A committee has been set up to examine the matter. The committee will submit its report soon”.
