Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Snapped At DySP Over The Issue Of Liquor Ban In Baramati

Baramati, 16th November 2021: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar snapped at a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) over the liquor ban in Baramati tehsil. He also asked the officer to strictly enforce the ban.

The incident took place on Monday, 15th November when Pawar was attending a public program. At that time he received an application from a woman saying that she is suffering a lot because her husband drinks liquor daily and tortures her. The women also demanded a liquor ban in Baramati.

Seeing this application, Pawar snapped at the police officer asking that, ”When the ban was already there since 2007, why liquor is still being sold now?”

He also asked the officer why the police were not taking strict action against illegal businesses. He then told the officer to make sure to put a complete ban on liquor selling in Baramati immediately.
