Dismissal Fallout In Pune: Vandalism at Hadapsar Petrol Pump as Former Employee Seeks Retribution
Pune, 25th October 2023: In a disturbing incident in the Hadapsar area, a disgruntled former employee resorted to vandalism, threatening to set ablaze a petrol pump following his dismissal.
The Hadapsar police have registered a case against the alleged perpetrator, identified as Akbar Hussain Tamboli, aged 42 and residing at Mantarwadi Chowk, Saswad Road.
The victim of this destructive act is Yashpal Nagori, the owner of the targeted petrol pump, aged 37 and a resident of Kalyaninagar. The only petrol pump in the Uruli Devachi area on Saswad Road, owned by Nagori, became the center of this incident. The accused, Tamboli, had been employed at the Tamboli petrol pump, and his termination resulted from reported issues of misconduct.
Expressing his discontent, Tamboli confronted the petrol pump, seeking an explanation for his dismissal. The disagreement escalated into an act of vandalism, with Tamboli causing damage to the pump’s machinery. During the incident, he reportedly made threats to set the petrol pump ablaze, creating an atmosphere of fear and chaos.
In response to the incident, the petrol pump owner, Nagori, promptly filed a complaint at the Hadapsar police station, detailing the sequence of events. The Hadapsar police have initiated an investigation into the matter, with Assistant Police Inspector Jadhav leading the inquiry.
