Prime Minister Narendra Modi To Visit Maharashtra And Goa Tomorrow

Pune, 25th October 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s itinerary on October 26, 2023, includes significant visits to Maharashtra and Goa.

At approximately 1 PM, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Shirdi, Ahmednagar District. His first engagement will be at the revered Saibaba Samadhi Temple, where he will partake in pooja and darshan. Following this, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Darshan Queue Complex at the temple. The modern mega structure, featuring comfortable waiting areas for devotees, has a cumulative seating capacity exceeding ten thousand. Amenities include air-conditioned facilities like cloakrooms, toilets, booking counters, prasad counters, and an information center. The foundation stone for this complex was laid by the Prime Minister in October 2018.

At 2 PM, the Prime Minister will perform the Jal Pujan of Nilwande Dam and dedicate the left bank (85km) canal network to the nation. This canal network, benefiting 182 villages across 7 Tehsils, was conceptualized in 1970 and is being developed at a cost of approximately Rs 5177 crore.

Later, at 3:15 PM, a public program in Shirdi awaits the Prime Minister, featuring the inauguration, dedication to the nation, and foundation stone laying of multiple development projects valued at around Rs 7500 crore. These projects span sectors such as health, rail, road, oil, and gas.

Upon reaching Goa at 6:30 PM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 37th National Games, a testament to the transformative impact of sports culture in the country under his leadership. The games will be held at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao from October 26 to November 9, marking the first time this event takes place in Goa. More than 10,000 athletes from across the country will compete in over 43 sports disciplines across 28 venues.

In Maharashtra, the Prime Minister will also launch the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana,’ benefitting over 86 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana by providing an additional amount of Rs 6000 per year. Additionally, he will inaugurate and dedicate various development projects, including the Ayush Hospital at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital, electrification of the Kurduwadi-Latur Road railway section (186 Km), the third and fourth railway lines connecting Jalgaon to Bhusaval (24.46 km), and four-laning of the Sangli to Borgaon section of NH-166 (Package-I). The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Maternal & Child Health Wing at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital, symbolizing a holistic approach to healthcare.

During the public program, the Prime Minister will distribute Ayushman cards and Svamitva cards to beneficiaries, showcasing the government’s commitment to inclusive development.

The extensive schedule reflects a commitment to both spiritual and infrastructural development, as well as the promotion of sports and health across Maharashtra and Goa.
