Pune, 15th October 2022: A meeting was held on Friday (October 14) regarding the Torrent CNG strike issue. The meeting was chaired by District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh, District Supply Officials with PDA along with three OMC’s ( HPC, IOC, BPCL) and Executive Director of Torrent Gas.

In the meeting, OMC’s agreed that Torrent gas is bound to pay the revised trade margin as per the circular passed by the MOPNG from the date the circular was passed with the arrears.

District Collector ordered that Torrent Gas must pay the desired Commisson as per MoPNG circular at earliest or else if any strike is caused due to the same, Torrent will be first held responsible and a case will be filed against them.

Rajesh Deshmukh and OMCs requested to defer the strike since Diwali is coming and it would cause inconvenience to the consumers.

Sameer Ladkat, President and Working Committee Members, Petrol Dealers Association Pune said, “Considering their request, PDA has decided to defer the strike from earlier decided date of 20th October to 1st of November for a indefinite period till the date commission is credited to the dealers account with arrears and interest due to delay.”
