Double-Decker PMPML Buses May Run In Pune In 2023
Pune, 29th December 2022: “Double decker” buses are likely to run in Pune from next year. The fleet of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is likely to induct double-decker buses next year.
A meeting of PMPML was held recently and PMPML Managing Director Omprakash Bakoria informed about the same. “There has been a preliminary discussion about starting double-decker buses in Pune. The reason why double-decker buses are running in Mumbai is that the infrastructure there is different from Pune,” he added further.
“Meanwhile we are going to discuss this with BEST in Mumbai. A report will be prepared on how successful these buses will be in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. A concrete decision will be taken after that,” Bakoria added.
