Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s Birth Anniversary Celebrated at Savitribai Phule Pune University
Pune, 15th October 2025: The birth anniversary of former President and eminent scientist Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was celebrated with enthusiasm at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Suresh Gosavi and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Parag Kalkar offered floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Kalam. The ceremony reflected the university’s admiration for the late leader’s contributions to science, education, and nation-building.
Members of the University Board, officers, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students were present to pay their respects and recall Dr. Kalam’s enduring message of dreaming big and working hard to achieve excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted Dr. Kalam’s role in inspiring generations through his vision for a self-reliant and progressive India.
Dr. Kalam, popularly known as the People’s President and Missile Man of India, continues to inspire millions through his ideals of humility, innovation, and dedication to education.
